Starless 17 with multiple controllers (use V9 version)

V6 available:

Fixed bug with deleting midi mappings which was leading to duplicates being saved to the pedalboard.
All pedalboards now shown in single and multi view, icon added to show if multi.
If user loads a single or multi pedalboard in another mode then (Single) or (Multi) is added to the name to avoid overwriting the original.

The multi icon is that one to the left of the download button:

@Rom the staying on the screen when delete is pressed is a bit more tricky than I thought, thinking about it…

Ah I forgot to say, when you learn a midi control now the purple icon that shows it is mapped does not appear until it is really mapped.

Oh… I still have the Bug! Couldn’t save pedalboard ! And it deleted the pedalboard
The problem comes with a Infamous midi (the one one the bottom right, that is there to send PC messages to the MC6 controller), when I remove it I can save.
There is only one parameter mapped to a Device’s knob.

I have problem with this plugin for sometime (I didn’t know it was it until now) : this plugin is saved with PC1 on channel 2, but on the Dwarf’s boot it sends PC9 on channel 2.

(I have the feeling that my pedalboard, quite old and si many modifications, would be better rebuild from scratch…)

Here is the pedalboard jsut before the bug. To provoke it, just :

replace the Infamous mindi with itself (if you save here, no problem)
edit the plugin, message type : Program Change ; Channel : 0 ; Note/CC/PC Number : 9

I have done what you said with that one and it saved.

But I have not got all the plugins installed so it might be something there, I will install those plugins so we have an even playing field…

I don’t know where to look in the pedalboard files, but I suspect that the mapping of the button value stays somewhere in the file…
Do you know where I can look ?

I can’t replicate it here and I can’t see that the button is mapped to anything!

The best place to check is in the bindings screen.

Also that pedalboard kills my Mod Dwarf after a while, and always on reboot when it tries to load it!

It’s not loading the HMI bindings on my dwarf since I installed missing plugins!

Sone of those must be the issue!

It is hvcc-WOW.lv2 that is killing things here!

I have the mapping now but the mindi is not connected to an output, is that what you would expect?

Also if you are happy to ssh to the dwarf and run a command in the terminal we can see what is going on when yours fails to save as I cannot replicate it?

The midi output of th mindi goes to the midi output that send to my morningstar controller.

MOD_EXTENDED_LOG=1 MOD_LOG=2 mod-ui.run

And run those two commands, refresh your browser, replicate the issue and then cut and paste the huge amount of output in the terminal window into a file and attach that here and I will take a look!

Also as another test could you delete the hvcc-WOW plugin from the pedalboard, then do the steps and save, does that work?

KeyError: ':presets'

Something to do with presets, I’ll look into it tomorrow. I might need to get you a version with more logging to track it down…

mmm…
I use a preset tu set the mindi to the program change 9 on channel 0…
I’ve tried to save without using preset, and it works…
It may be a Starless problem or even a mod one ?

If you remove the presets and then add them again does that save ok?

It’s weird it is working here, you can see they exist:

And then it fails to find them elsewhere as the save uses different data, something is getting out of sync somehow!

I have to ask for the preset before I can remove it, then remove it, then change the potentiometer anywhere → it goes to the Bug!
