I posted my wish about a recorder plugin a long time ago. And with your post I found the Recorder plugin in the beta store and I love it. I hope to see it soon in the regular store
I still don’t understand why there isn’t officials annoucements on the Mod Device website, or facebook or with a popup in the web gui for realeased plugin, no matter if it’s beta plugin or not.
Many people still don’t know that there’s a recorder in beta section!
Because many people are not using this forum.
It’s a big mistake I think
This is something that we have been discussing quite a lot and it’s something that we want to get fixed.
On this particular case I would only say that it happened because the plugin is still in beta, so not yet enough tests for us to be safe to do it. Yet, we assume that that is not the case for many others. But we are working on that.
This suggestion is actually really good and maybe works also for betas. I’m not sure.
that’s cool and it offers opportunities for other communications as well… but then you need to consider an ‘opt-in’ functionality as well. when yo go so far, you are almost making a kind of messaging system with preferences in the GUI
You could consider adding that to a recurring newsletter via e-mail as well.
sorry, marketeer with comm background…got carried away
that is exactly something that I suggested a while ago. Even some sort of help popups, sharing pages like the wiki, etc.
That’s actually something that we discussed yesterday. We don’t want to start bombarding with notifications and then it gets distracting - we all have enough of that.
That’s also a good idea. Yet, I feel that it always needs some sort of mix of both. Not everyone opens the emails.
A spring reverb would be an amazing addition. I’m imagining a plugin that has selectable spring lengths and a drive knob to take it from tame levels to outer space.
It would be great if we could have visual level meters.
I’m using the x42 Level Meter which is a numeric meter - it gets the job done but it’s very hard to read in the web ui. Maybe it’s more of a question to Robin Gareus who has developed the plugin - is it possible to port the meters.lv2 to the mod device? It would be great to have such a feature to set up some audio. Of course the icing on the cake would be to have some form of meters on the device itself besides the leds
Not exactly what you are searching for, but you can use the Shiroverb to get a nice spring reverb sound.
On the factory pedalboard “GRIG:SWIRLY 70S - SPRING PHASER” you will find the exact settings to get there
Also — I think this has been raised in another thread, but I didn’t see it actually noted down — it would be great to have a CV to midi plugin. Among other things, this would let you use the Mod to generate MIDI LFOs or envelopes for other devices. This would also enable shared processing between devices — for instance, if I’ve got a kick running through one Mod pedal and a bassline and some other perc on another pedal that I want to duck, I could use an envelope follower and a CV to MIDI plugin to automate a VCA on the other pedal. If there is CV to MIDI already in beta, then consider this a request to make the beta plugins visible on the web too — I haven’t dug through the store from my pedals yet.
Most of available delays allows you to set wet signal only (“wet, mix, blend…”). If you use wet only position and run that in parallel with clean signal, you have “effects loop” - you can add any other plugins to affect just the delayed signal.
not exactly : having an output after the repeat looping back in the input means that the signal will be modified at each repeat. For example when you add an EQ that cut the height in this loop the 1st repeat will be less “darker” than the 2nd, etc. Same if you add a chorus or a vibrato…
If you simply add an effect after the delay, the signal is modified just once.
