Plugin Updates (Official Store)

MOD Convolution Loader updated to 2.0-19

Just a rebuild for pushing its related MOD Cabinet Loader plugin to stable (part of the same base project, so they get updated together).

No functional changes.

Audio File and MIDI File updated to 160.0-11

This update brings a rework of the disk streaming logic for the audio file player plugin, which now uses less background CPU and causes less CPU spikes.
Resampling from sample ratios higher than 48kHz was corrected.
A CV output port was added, for signaling the current play status.
And finally it can now load quad files, picking either the first or last 2 channels from such files (configurable through the advanced settings screen).

The MIDI File player is updated along side it as they belong to the same plugin bundle, but no changes were made to it.

Neural Amp Modeler updated to 1.0-14

Plugin is updated to its latest version from @MikeOliphant that brings a DC offset fix (high-pass filter) after the model processing.
We did a few optimizations to reduce its CPU load a little bit too.

More importantly we have added “buffered” parameter in its advanced settings, which moves the audio processing of NAM into a secondary thread but in turns adds 1 audio cycle of latency (which is 2.66ms on a MOD unit under normal circumstances).
This “reduces” the DSP load of NAM nano models on a Dwarf from 65% to 15% at the cost of a bit of latency, and of course incurs in additional background processing.
Same limitations regarding nano vs standard models still apply, but with this option some users will now be able to add quite a few more plugins in the pedalboard.

Enjoy!

Neural Amp Modeler updated to 1.0-16

Plugin is updated yet again to its latest version from @MikeOliphant, tweaking the way it pre-loads the models.

For MOD we have put in place a workaround that prevented files from being used reliably in user created presets, but as side-effect any pedalboards now shared with the NAM plugin won’t have the model file inside.
We believe to have identified the issue that breaks presets, but as we needed to have a working setup dealing with presets we pushed the workaround.
Proper fix should be part of next v1.13.x bugfix release.

AIDA-X updated to 1.0-13

Fixes the file handling not storing host-created links within presets and pedalboards - basically shared pedalboards will now contain the current model in use, which was (unintentionally) not the case before.

Also the plugin does its custom bypass now, enabling click-free bypass.

Neural Amp Modeler updated to 1.0-17

We reverted the workaround put in place for plugin presets on this plugin, which now has a fix on the latest 1.13.3 release.

Also imported a fix for reducing the “pops” heard when changing models.

Audio File and MIDI File updated to 160.0-13

The resampler in use for Audio File (zita-resampler) was updated to its latest version, which brings ARM-specific optimizations. This makes loading non-48kHz files faster.

The MIDI File player is updated along side it as they belong to the same plugin bundle, but no changes were made to it.

Audio File and MIDI File updated to 160.0-14

Fixes playback of certain audio files that fit perfectly into an internal buffer, leading to reading the whole file and playback skipping weirdly right after start. Happened with at least 32bit mono wav files.

Same as before, MIDI File player updated too but only because they come from the same package.

AIDA-X updated to 1.0-14

Last update changed the behaviour of the bypass, which was not intentional. Now corrected.

Spoke too soon in regards to clickless bypass, that is not a thing here after all…
But in return bypassing the plugin will cut off on CPU usage.

The Rude updated to 1.0-9

Tweaks to its output gain compensation curve (based on the “ratio” knob) and some minor branding details.

MOD Bass, Modern and Vintage Cabinets updated to 2.0-12

We have changed the convolution engine used by these plugins to one that is much more efficient, reducing CPU load considerably. Because of this the “high-fidelity” parameter is gone, as it is no longer necessary.

Please open a new topic on the forums if this update causes any issue for you.

AIDA-X updated to 1.0-15

We now expose the DC Blocker filter that runs at the end of the processing chain on AIDA-X as a switch, in case anyone needs to turn it off (not recommended unless you know what you are doing).

Also the Antialiasing parameter turns that filter fully off when at 0%.

Both changes are optional and will not change the sound on existing boards, but are useful for some of our internal testing.
