This pedal is very similar to the dm-TubeScreamer. It has slightly different filtering, higher output gain and most importantly it has asymmetrical clipping. The asymmetrical clipping makes the biggest difference on the sound. I have seen quite some Tube Screamer vs SD1 discussion online. I leave that decision up to you. Or just use them both…
