Hello, will it be possible in a near future to use the Mod Duo as an audio interface ? Will it be an hardware or a software upgrade ?
If you run Linux and the correct version of Jack on that machine, then you can already do it
Is there any plan to make this work on Windows ?
Jack exists on windows as well, but I have never tried it and donât know about the performances.
I would be curious to see if that same procedure with the Duo can be done
The holy grail would be for the Mod to just pop-up as an ASIO device when connected.
Presumably this âjustâ needs someone to write a driver for it? Wouldnât know where to start with thatâŚ
Ok, I just managed to get it works on Windows, and it works great.
You need to install jack for Windows and use Ardour or Reaper (since they have jack support) in 32bit (since jack for Windows doesnât support 64bit). And then just follow the wiki : https://wiki.moddevices.com/wiki/Audio_Through_USB
It could be also really nice to have this on a Mac OS platform. One day maybeâŚ
I deleted my comment but thought it would be better to leave the register:
âIâm trying to get it working on windows ( JACK 1.9.18 win64), but when I run the âjackdâ command I get stuck in âWaiting for a masterâ⌠On my linux the connection with modduo is initialized normally. Any idea of what could be the problem? Modduo is ssh-accessible on windows, so the connection is there.â
The problem was my firewall, after I created a rule (public) for jackd allowing all ports ir worked =)!
Thanks for sharing the solution that you found to your own problem
