Thanks!

LP3 is a cracking plugin, we all appreciate you getting onboard with the MOD platform and chiming in on a regular basis to help out.
Anyone have a workaround for actually retriggering start of playback of a loop when using external midi clock?
It seems that the stop is more like a mute, than an actual stop? Or am I missing something?
The issue is when for example recording an 8 bar loop, then switch to a 4 bar pattern on my external gear, then come back to the initial pattern and try to trigger the LP3 playback. Sometimes the loop starts in the correct place, sometimes on bar 5. As if the loop never stopped, simply got muted.
Perhaps @looperlative can chime in on this?
I also have this issue, the stop only mutes the loop.
Yeah, its quite annoying and strongly limits its usefulness when using external gear.
I would need it to work like the Pigtronix Infinity Looper. Where you que the start to the next quarter note downbeat⦠And then it stays in sync.
Iāve created a support ticket with Looperlative, but have yet to get an answer.
I created a support ticket on the Looperlative website 10th of february and still havenāt got an answer.
Sorry, but for quite some time I wasnāt able to work on MOD-related things. Iām fixing up my build system right now and will look at LP3 items over the long weekend. Looperlative devices donāt stop, but rather mute. This is in fact the way I guarantee internally synced loops stay in sync. On my physical looping products, I have a different software base and Iāve made some significant changes with regards to MIDI sync. Iāll have to relook at how I did it in this product and look at possible improvements. Iād also like to bring the other software base to this environment, but that will be a larger task.
Thanks for the update! Fingers crossed that we can get a true stop and resync from next quarter note downbeat in the future ![]()
Iāve got the plugin ready. I just need somebody on the MOD team to put the upgrade on the store.
I think a DM to @falkTX would get that ball rolling. Iām excited to see what youāve been cookingā up.
Thanks. Did that already. Just need to be patient now.
I gotcha. The bread smells divine, but if it is taken out of the oven now, it wonāt be cooked all the way through. Iāll be patient.
As a summary, I changed the MIDI sync behavior somewhat. It does need to continue to track the MIDI clock, but if your loop is more than a single measure long, it starts playing as close to the start of track as possible. A future enhancement may be to hold off playing until the actual start of the measure. Iāll be looking in to that enhancement for the near future.
Iāve also add support for using the Akai APCmini or the Novation Launchpad Mini for displaying track status. This is similar to what I did with the Pisound version of the LP1 software.
The last big change is to do optimization on CPU usage reducing real-time process time. This should help reduce the CPU load.
