There’s no apparent way to change the model in the parameters editor. It just shows the path to a clean sound that seems to be default. There are more sounds in the folder, but there’s no option to change it. No pull down menu, no arrows to scroll, clicking anywhere in that box with the model showing just selects it as text. I tried to delete the default sound so it might load the next one in the folder, but then there’s no sound at all.
I’ll check if I had nam 1 models there, the ones I tried were probably V2…they loaded with no errors but didn’t do anything for the sound.
hey @Antti_Heikkinen, first of all welcome to the MOD Community.
About loading models to AIDA, have you tried on the first small Window for the MOD Desktop (where you have the “Start” and “Stop” buttons) to click on the “Open User Files” button? There you have a folder called “AIDA DSP Models”, you should load your AIDA models inside that folder.
If then you can’t still see the files on the MOD WebGUI try to re-load the AIDA-X plugin. If you can’t still see the models, go back to the first window, click on “Stop” and the “Start” again and re-open the MOD WebGUI. The models should be then there.
Yeah the issue is apparently that the models that came with the system are in a different place, under Program Files… And it only shows the first one and the address to the folder in AIDA, and not the others.
But, if I copy some models to the user folder manually, then I can see them in AIDA. So it just points to the wrong folder by default is all, causing all the confusion.
And with the NAM models it was the case of having to find NAM1 models to get sound out.
I’m not sure if I fully got it. It’s normal (and expected) that the default or factory models are not accessible. Anyway, the plugin should also check the “AIDA DSP Models” folder. Are you saying that it doesn’t?
It only shows the single default model, although there are several in the folder. But it works fine when you add new models in the user folder. I don’t think I even tried to copy new models into the program files folder it seems, because it seemed not to use them anyhow/would show only one of many in the folder. Confusing but it’s fine now.
What issues came up with the install? Windows, yes? I don’t remember offhand having to do anything but run the installer for Windows. Though I wonder if there are any prerequisities that I already had like ASIO drivers for my interface, etc.
First of all welcome in the MOD Forum. I’m glad with your interest on the MOD platform.
I took a look at your trust levels and I believe that you are already able to create a post. Let me know if that’s not the case and I will manually fix it for you.
Still not. That is planned, but as MOD Desktop is still in an alpha/beta stage, that functionality was not yet implemented.
