Who is SamIAm?
The artist (giggle) formerly known as S’manth, I’ve been a member for a while now.
S’manth was a diminutive of my name (Samantha) that was picked for me in my old ukulele band (there was already another member called Sam) and it sorta stuck.
When I left the band due to ‘artistic differences’ (Yeah, OK … a falling out … I was not told what I did but was encouraged to depart!) I stopped using S’manth.
And thanks to the power of the MOD Father, I’ve a new username here … SamIAm.
Not to worry tho, I will still be posting the same insane nonsense I always have!

Hey! I’m Danny Taurus, a house music producer in Los Angeles. I suspect I’ll be in a minority here as I’ll be using my Mod Dwarf in a DAWless music production setup.
I’ll be using it to [1] process synths before going into the Synthstrom Deluge sampler/sequencer, [2] process existing track elements in a resampling loop and [3] master effects for the Deluge before recording the finished track into the DAW (compression, EQ, mono-bass, stereo width, etc).
I’m also excited to look into developing my own small utility plugins to help in this process.

Hi everybody.
I‘m Ray,39 years old from Cologne Germany.
I‘m playing Bass for over 20 years now and i would describe myself as a well advanced semi Professional.
My main goal with the MOD Dwarf is,to switch easily
between 3 or 4 Pedalboards .
I‘m playing in two Bands
( Indie/Electro/Rock & a Soul/Jazz)
I have to switch quickly in live Shows between two Basses a PJ and a Fretless in the Soulband and
a Musicman HH and the Fretless in the Indie Band.
All 5 String Basses.
So these Basses have all different Sounds.
With the Dwarf i haven‘t to turn any knobs on my analog Bass Preamp to change the Sound for another Bass.
Its just perfect.
I also use the Dwarf for my Akai Mini or a Korg Monologe.
Love it.

Hi all,
I can’t say I have read all 588 entries here, but at least the last couple of them seem to come from bass players - yay!!
Fellow bass player here, hailing from Denmark, and trying to be more open and explorative about sound (I guess I have been a bit of a purist so far) 
Obviously, I am very interested in plug-ins and pedalboards designed for bass, but also to try out all the other more guitar-centric possibilities.

Welcome @jpk_dk from another bassist, I think there are a few of us here.
Bass resources for the MOD ecosystem are limited in my experience, both from bass specific effects and pedalboards (You can see some by searching for bass on the pdealboard section of the MOD site https://pedalboards.moddevices.com)
One great thing about the MOD system is being able to split the signal path by frequency (Say using the crossover plugin CrossOver 2 - MOD Audio or CrossOver 3 - MOD Audio) to allow different routing for different frequencies.

I am just started in the process of exploring both the forum and the Dwarf, and so your pointers are super helpful! I am still learning so much about pedals and effects (having kept myself to mostly reverb and a bit of chorus here and there), and I am certainly hoping to get inspiration from the crowd here (especially fellow bass players )
Will check out your links and dive into the basschat!

Hi! I just arrived and I´m still out of breath! Found about MOD for Desktop yesterday and I’m very excited about its possibilities. I do not have any MOD device, and plan to use the MOD application either standalone to try possible FX chains and use it for recording in my DAW.
I love to play with music software but on a more serious side, I write - and record - music for theatre.
