Darkglass Anagram

Darkglass just released a multi-effects pedal called the Anagram, and there are a bunch of people on TalkBass and TheGearForum who seem to think that the MOD Audio team has been contributing to the project (and indeed that the financial backers that MOD have been vague about are in fact Korg). I was assuming that this was wildly misinformed and perhaps a result of the fact that Korg owns Darkglass AND has a keyboard called the Modwave, but…

The Anagram is very nearly the dimensions of the Dwarf; it is a pedal that accepts both NAM and AIDA-X profiles; Darkglass says they’re opening it up to other developers if they want to collaborate with the company… there ARE some perceivable similarities.

Anyone know if our beloved MOD team is part of the greater Korg universe now? Is the Anagram the next evolution of the Dwarf ethos?

Mmmhhh… So this is what you were playing with instead of pushing the new improved NAM engine made by @MikeOliphant to the store?!? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just joking, you guys are awesome  and, by the way, that new device seems very sleek!

Cool to know this is public !!!
Quite a great work there !! Making linux going there is nice to see ! Thanks for this.
How much Mod’s OS and Anagram’s OS are interconnected ? Would there be a single plugins library for both kind of users ?

Looks very cool! Can this device be MODded?

Would love to see them and/or the MOD team at SuperBooth!

HEEEY I know those faces! @falkTX @gianfranco

So you guys are behind that mysterious new unit on the market!

A big congratz!

They’re a little bit out of my budget right now but I hope to try one of these babies out some day

So… does this mean we’ll see the Roamer and the GXHyperion on the Anagram?

The hardware seams really great, so having this transformed in a mod-device would be great !!!
How easy is it to install the modOS on the device ?

Oh I’m curious too ^^.

@gianfranco please tell us you created a vent, not smaller than a womp rat that enables us to jailbreak it and install modOS :stuck_out_tongue:

              Welcome to Pablito!
             What took you so long?

# uname -a
Linux darkglass 6.1.43 #1 SMP PREEMPT_RT Fri Apr 25 16:20:41 UTC 2025 aarch64 GNU/Linux

# systemd-analyze
Startup finished in 480ms (kernel) + 3.924s (userspace) = 4.405s
multi-user.target reached after 3.912s in userspace.

Any 3rd party or developer access still TBD, but we want to come up with a plan that allows it in some fashion.

Booting in 5 seconds makes us a bit spoiled
It’s so fast…

That looks amazing. Congratulations!

@falkTX realizing you are probably bound by NDAs to not answer this question, does this partnership suggest a future in which there could be a MOD device with a (for example) iPad-Mini-sized touch screen interface access to the localhost web appliance and sufficient buttons and knobs, with corporate non-crowdfunded backing?

Damn, knowing you guys were part of this project instantly got me way more interested in the Anagram…

I read demand is high and I see promotion everywhere.
This is great!
Kind of what I imagined MOD should/could have reached at a certain point.
I hope this paves a bright future for those involved …(but also makes me fear a bit for the future of development of what will and can be done with the Dwarf)
