Darkglass just released a multi-effects pedal called the Anagram, and there are a bunch of people on TalkBass and TheGearForum who seem to think that the MOD Audio team has been contributing to the project (and indeed that the financial backers that MOD have been vague about are in fact Korg). I was assuming that this was wildly misinformed and perhaps a result of the fact that Korg owns Darkglass AND has a keyboard called the Modwave, but…
The Anagram is very nearly the dimensions of the Dwarf; it is a pedal that accepts both NAM and AIDA-X profiles; Darkglass says they’re opening it up to other developers if they want to collaborate with the company… there ARE some perceivable similarities.
Anyone know if our beloved MOD team is part of the greater Korg universe now? Is the Anagram the next evolution of the Dwarf ethos?
Cool to know this is public !!!
Quite a great work there !! Making linux going there is nice to see ! Thanks for this.
How much Mod’s OS and Anagram’s OS are interconnected ? Would there be a single plugins library for both kind of users ?
@falkTX realizing you are probably bound by NDAs to not answer this question, does this partnership suggest a future in which there could be a MOD device with a (for example) iPad-Mini-sized touch screen interface access to the localhost web appliance and sufficient buttons and knobs, with corporate non-crowdfunded backing?
I read demand is high and I see promotion everywhere.
This is great!
Kind of what I imagined MOD should/could have reached at a certain point.
I hope this paves a bright future for those involved …(but also makes me fear a bit for the future of development of what will and can be done with the Dwarf)
