Back in 2005, I built the LP1 because nobody built a looper that did what I wanted and I certainly did not want to have a laptop in my rig. I’ve loved all these years having a device under my control.
As for other effects, I tried so many multieffect devices through the years and they were all a pain to configure. Guess what? I still didn’t want to add a laptop to my rig. Along comes MOD and this is elegant. I can easily connect the device to my computer to create virtual pedalboards of arbitrary complexity. I can select what parameters I want to adjust during performances away from the computer. All in all, it gives me easy configuration, tons of flexibility, a dedicated platform to music, and I can still create my own loopers. I am so happy to have been introduced to this world.
