Use endless knob button for device bypass

I’m using a high pass filter with frequency assigned to one of my endless knobs. At the moment I am using one of the footswitches for the bypass control, but I’d rather use the push/click of the endless knob that is assinged to frequncy to turn bypass on and off.

Is there any way using CV devices or some settings to be able to achieve this?

That’s quite simple.
You use a Control to CV plugin and set the Control value to 10v then you assign one of the knobs to toggle the on/off of the Control to CV plugin. Then the CV output of the Control to CV should be assigned to the on/off of wherever plugin you want.

I made a quick example that you can check: ON/Off swithc on knob Click - MOD Audio

Thank you! That achieves half of what I wanted to - with the click of the knob giving on/off. But I want the same knob to control a different control when it is twisted. So I’d like to be able to twist the knob to change frequency, then click the same knob to turn the bypass of a plugin on and off.

I think that would be a great feature. It would make a limited number of knobs doubly powerful/twice as useful.

Yea I thought there might be some CV module magic that could be done to make that happen, but it looks like the knobs are tied in to the click and the turn being the same function, although you can use the click to push a knob to 100 or 0.

I’m not sure if that would be possible (at the moment) since you can only assign a single parameter to each control and a knob - being used to turn or to click - is in the end just single control.

I can’t believe this issue has never been raised until now

It would be really really useful

I can tell you that this is the first time that I read this around (and I read already a lot of requests for MOD  )
Although I can understand the use case clearly and how it could be handy. Not sure if it’s doable, thou…
