Does data flow through the two USB ports?

I plugged in my KM Soft Stop (the first one) into the DUO and the DUO plugged into my computer. I can get the MOD GUI but the Soft Step editor could not find the device. I’m guessing that the USB input does not let any data through to the USB port to the computer.

Is this something that can be implemented so I can keep the Soft Step plugged into the DUO and be able to run the soft step editor at the same time?

The MOD does not do usb-through.
If it did, you could not access the web interface.
Maybe if the USB could turn into a “composite device”, something that has more than 1 device in the same USB port.
I never saw a composite device together with USB-through though.
