Update to CV plugin: CV Curve

[I split this earlier thread into two: New CV plugins: Slider Buttons and CV Curve (.mk in mod-plugin-builder) ]

@zwabo found a bug with “CV Curve” where after assigning the CV port a label it was hard to read. This should now be fixed. I wasn’t able to find the issue where you weren’t able to assign its variable to a plugin parameter and save it. If you could give me more details that’d help.

Hi Jesse, here is a link to a video.
No way to save the CV-Curve assignation and if I don’t cancel the action and close the window the Dwarf freezes.
Tested on two units with Mod OS 1.14 R14 and Starless 17, same problem.

I recreated your issue and I thought I found it - restarted my board and went to recreate the issue a second time for Claude to observe and diagnose, and then it magically fixed itself and now I can’t recreate it again.

My theory is that perhaps somehow this happens because the dwarf is kept running for a long time? I’m going to keep it up and running for a while and try to catch it again later.

I found the issue - my plugin’s URI was causing the MOD software to choke. CV Curve now has a slightly different URI that fixes this. If I’m not mistaken this is kind of a bug with the MOD software (I believe I should be able to pick any URI I want) so I’m going to raise it with them, but until then I’ll change my plugin to be compatible.

New build (Dwarf, Duo and Duo X): MOD Cloud Builder

If you installed the earlier CV Curve:

  • The new one is a different plugin ID, so pedalboards that used the old one will show it as missing. Re-add it from the plugin list.
  • Until you switch, avoid assigning a parameter to the old CV Curve’s CV output. Patching it to something else with a cable is a workaround.
