Ooops, did I get myself into a wasp net?
In search of an adequate metal sound I rummaged in the pedal board box and found an interesting recently published board which also explains the mysterious MINDI. (thanks to dncrash!)
Again, the board produces a deep ghost octave playing power chords on the low strings. (second snapshot)
my memory might be totally off,
but in this context I remember cabinets were updated recently that led to weird sounds before.
I think our plugin specialists can tell you if this bug has been resolved.
I think that this bug was not related to the CabSims but to the Veja Titan Amp Sim and accordingly to @Sharry last post could be related to all Amp Sims.
There are other threads on this subject and I think @Jan was addressing the issue.
Later on I’ll test the lead channel with lower frequencies.
I think that @redcloud have reported something about this issue in another thread and maybe that was already tested.
I just have a few other questions If you don’t mind…
Which is the oversample rate applied when the option is switched on?
Have you measured the impact on CPU usage?
The Titan oversamples x4, which we found to be the sweetspot in terms of antialliasing and cpu load.
There is ofcourse still an impact though, which differs a lot between setups, but as an indicator, it goes up a bit over 10% here on my Dwarf in a series chain.
I’m after a “Edge of breakup” amp tone.
So far I’m getting better results with the DUO using drives and boosters in front of the clean Amp simulations.
