I want to sing the praises of the Stereo X-Fade plug-in. I have a thread about panners, and Rom added a pedalboard where he used this plug-in for both a way to pan a signal, by modulating it’s A/B knob, and to switch between two signals. Thanks @Rom !
I now use this plug-in for so many different things.

Other volume plug-ins, don’t actually go all the way to zero. For some of the music I make, I can’t have that small amount of bleed going into effects (particularly heavy distortions). But this one does go to zero, so it’s great for that. Ambient music can stay clean and clear until you want to decimate it.

You can use it in the opposite way with mono signals, to switch into either Left or Right outputs. Of course there is a switch plug-in for this, but you can’t map it to a knob on the Mod - only buttons. Problem solved ! Sometimes even when I want all or nothing, I still use a knob as an on/off switch because buttons are useful for too many other things.

You can modulate the knob and use this as a panner for a mono signal. Seeing Mod do this is what inspired me to try this plug-in out. Previously I assumed had no use for it. How often does one crossfade?

I also use this as an effects send in cases where I want either full dry, or some mix of effect and dry. Because this can lower the output, not just full A or full B - you can find the right blend of effect and dry, then set a button or knob to switch between full dry or your preset mix. I guess this sort of falls under what the plug-in was made to do, but I always think of crossfading as a transition, not a way to set a blend of signals.
That’s it. Just wanted to put this out there. It’s a versatile plug-in I had overlooked.
