For some reason there are two parallel streams of release notes:
Well, it’s actually three if you count the one-line summary of each release at the top of http://wiki.moddevices.com/wiki/Releases.
Firstly I want to commend and give huge thanks to @falkTX for spending the time to write so much useful and helpful information each time! This really makes a huge difference to those of us who are closely following the updates, eagerly awaiting improvements, and living life on the bleeding edge
The release notes in the forum tend to go into a lot more detail than the wiki; for example, compare Release 1.5.0-RC1 (Release Candidate 1) with http://wiki.moddevices.com/wiki/Releases#v1.5.0-RC1. I was wondering if there was an argument for claiming that this approach of having two sets of detailed notes for each release is slightly overkill, but there are probably good reasons - e.g. talking a wild guess, maybe the list in the wiki is the first lines of all the corresponding git commit messages? In which case it makes sense for the forum posts to expand into further detail.
Anyway, assuming that it makes sense to continue the current approach, I think it would be helpful for the wiki entries to link back to the corresponding forum posts so that it’s easy to locate that further detail from the wiki. I would happily fix that myself, but I can’t figure out how to get a wiki account.
