Newb questions about the Dwarf

Using MOD devices

Complete noob here. I bought a used Dwarf and the footswitch was broken (mechanically). It’s working now.

So today i ssh’ed into the device and I see the former owners email in one of the files. The previous owner purchased some plug-ins.

My questions:

  1. If I replace that file with my name, will it affect what was previously purchased?
  2. I was looking at the Starless OS?. If I replace the OS, will I lose all the previously purchased items?
  3. Finally, I stumbled onto NAM A2 which sounds super exciting! Are there any plans to port that?

That theoretically shouldn’t happen, but you just got a loophole of our system that we still didn’t found a solution for. So, I would say…enjoy them :slight_smile:

I’m not 100% sure of this one, but I think the license is only associated with the serial number of your device. In the future, we want to associate them with users, so for example, you could buy a license in one device (or MOD Desktop) and use it in all MOD devices you have. But that is not yet implemented.

No, you won’t lose any purchased license.
