Need help - MOD Dwarf not seen by PC

Hi Everybody.

I need help because after some time I’ll be using my Dwarf again this evening and I have an issue.

I’m connecting the Dwarf to my Ubuntu Studio 25.04 laptop via USB, like I already did a lot of times, to access the web interface but it seems it’s just not recognized.

No error, no message, but also no entry on the network connections when I plug and unplug.

What could it be?

UPDATE: I’m trying to connect the Dwarf to various other laptops, including Windows, and changing USB cable. It just seems that it’s not seen by the PC OS

UPDATE2: Of course I set the USB connection mode to win+midi before trying to connect to a Windows PC

I thought I saw this behavior on Ubuntu Studio 25.04 as well, but after I unplugged and plugged the USB cable on the Dwarf end, it worked as expected (firefox connected). You might try fussing about with udev rules, but that seems extreme.

Start up Ubuntu, then plug it in. Does it show up in the terminal with lsusb? If so, can you ping 192.168.51.1 it?

I tried to ping the IP as you said, but it just gives request timed out
