I was just watching videos about the new Ernie Ball effect pedals coming out and all I could think about was how I will replicate that in the DUO. I love it that I can replicate these in the DUO and save me a lot of $$$… I can even improve on the concept because I am not bound by the physical limitations.

To achieve this I would put an overdrive/distortion plugin in parallel with my direct signal. Put the gain plugin before (or after… whatever sounds better to my liking…) the distortion plugin. With an expression pedal I would adjust the level of the gain plugin.
Voila!
I can experiment with different distortion plugins and tailor the sound to what I prefer.
Anyway… Just wanted to share my excitement…
