just tweak the /bin/mod-jackd file as that is what starts up jack. if you mess up a simple reinstall of the current image version will get you back to stock system partition.

After a few hours of debugging it turned out that my audio interface was to blame because it’s either buggy or defective. Sorry for bothering you and many thanks for the pointers all the time!
