Mod 2x2 Gain plugin - Limited MIDI range

Description

When assigning a MIDI CC to control the Mod 2x2 Gain plugin on a new pedalboard, the range is limited at -20db to +20db instead of the expected -40 to +40 db.

How to reproduce

  1. Create a new pedalboard
  2. Assign a MIDI event to the Gain parameter

If you remove the 2x2 Gain plugin and add it again, then the behaviour back to normal.

Expected/suggested solution

Bug Fix.

Did you try setting the range in the advanced settings when doing the MIDI learn step?

Thanks for letting me discover this feature.

Haven’t played with MIDI stuff that much yet.

This seems to be the cause.

This means that de “default pedalboard” should be saved with these values to full range for when creating new pedalboard.

I find it still a bit confusing since the display of the knob still shows -40 to +40 db.

Maybe the behaviour should be that the values displayed reflects the range determined in the “Advance” area of the MIDI assignment and still move the knob all the way from left to right instead of stopping mid course.

I think the intention is to reduce the amount of possible gain on the default pedalboard, as +40dB can be damaging in some conditions, so the default pedalboard gain assignment only uses -20 to +20.
