MAXX Ambience - MOD Devices

JEL

MAXXed out Ambient sound. Recorded through my Kemper (Vox AC30 ) and used my volume pedal on the attack to create the pad sound. Lots of layers to create fullness of space and reverb. I added the looper in the pedalboard, but couldn't figure out the footswitches, so you can delete it or try it out yourself.

Hey @JEL

That is a great one!!

Quick tips:

  1. The looper is mono, so it will kind of kill the PingPong Pan effect that came right before it.

  2. When sharing, I always conncet the last plugin to the two outputs. This gives a better experience to the ones listening.

About the looper, it works with the two button - REC and PLAY - in conjunction. I like to see it as a “tape looping device”. They are both toggles. the PLAY turns on/off the “tape rolling” and the REC will position the recording head ON/OFF the tape.

So, to do a loop you must leave the PLAY ON and, when you’re ready to start looping, press REC. To stop the loop recording you can either press PLAY or REC. If you press play, the loop will be stored, but not playing. If you press REC it stops recording and goes looping right away.

I had one note about the looper - I downloaded the pedalboard and tried it myself.

I had the MOD Duo connected to the web UI and noticed you assigned the rec and play to the footswitches. It didn’t work for me as well, but when I didn’t assign the rec and play buttons to the footswitch I could use them with the mouse and then the looper worked for me.

Did you use it while disconnected from the web UI?

I have found that the looper does work but that you just have to have the record function on first and then you have to press the play button to start the recording. If you press the play button again, it will loop what you just played. Gianfranco provided this solution above.
