for development, yes for sure.
while you can setup things while in macOS, there are always extra steps. but I cant recommend using as rasp-pi for development…
hi guys, just begining to start a patch up in max but don’t want to do much if the process for getting it onto dwarf is not stable. any thoughts on current state of max patch to running on the pedal. thanks
The Max-gen stuff works fine as far as we know.
But worth noting again that the whole thing refers to Max gen~ objects only, not to full Max projects.
You won’t be able to run max/msp on linux though (I mean I got it mostly to work in wine on amd64, except for the package manager and the MOD plugin), definitely not on a pi.
I’d recommend using pure data, together with hvcc, that will run on your pi for sure. The only downside is you need a bit more command-line skills to get a plugin built. There is no web-service taking care of the build for you like with the MOD plugin for Max/MSP.
