Looper -> ONE switch

It seems like this should be easy, but from what I can tell none of the loopers can be easily controlled with CV.

I’d like to use one switch to record/dub, erase, and undo. I have the “multi button to CV” set up, but it seems like none of the loopers accept the input.

Maybe it’s possible to do it another way?

There may be some cleaner way, but you coult try to use cv to control a (set of) mindi plugins sending CC and then with some trick (sending similar eventi from a computer during association) bind it to the looper?

If the looper uses “buttons” - for some reason those don’t have the option for CV designations yet. I recently brought this up, but I haven’t heard any plans to add that option for buttons Assign CV to Switchboxes and Plugin Buttons

Yep I saw your topic and agree, although I suspect it’s more of a problem with the plugins themselves.

I’d be happy if there was more of a “standard” for plugins being included in the libraries (even beta ones). Some have no description, some don’t work with CV, some don’t have any GUI.

I maybe be wrong, but I think it is all plugins that have button or switch activators that look like these when you click the configuration cog for the plugin in the GUI.
Like this guy in SooperLooper 2x2 or LP3 One or SwitchTrigger4.

Or this one in switches like Switchbox 1-2 ST or MIDI SwitchBox (which are plugins authored by MOD)

I think it is systemwide that CV can’t be assigned to these actuators. I was hoping the option to assign CV could be added to these in a future release.

If I’m mistaken, if somebody could let me know, I’d appreciate it.

I think this would be possible, but I think you’d need something other than mindi to assign midi to the button (midi floor controller or whatever) and then configure mindi to send the same midi message. Maybe you could first enable midi loopback, assign mindi to a hardware button, and click it in the assign button for looper dialog window and then assign the mindi message to the “multi button to CV” plugin, but if that is what is needed to make it work, that’s a lot of clicks. Better for falkTX to add assigning CV to these buttons when he has the bandwidth.
