Hah! wow … I grew up in NY and these guys were such a big deal during high school. Their new stuff sounds good too. I didn’t realize they were still together, touring, writing, etc. Awsome!

Well, I didn’t know them personally. Though their music was influential. In fact, I knew musicians who started bands purely out of that influence.
Hardcore was a pretty big deal then, and Life of Agony definitely defined an ‘east coast sound,’ albeit considered metal. Nonetheless, their music was tributary for a lot of later stuff.
