Is it possible to port the tone3000-enabled NAM plugin to x86_64?

Hi,

I’m really impressed with Starless by aLabs.
Thanks to @andreadelsignore and all the other contributors!

However, the MOD Dwarf is fairly limited in terms of CPU power, so these days I mostly use MOD Desktop, or run mod-host and mod-ui directly instead.

I’d really like to use the Tone3000-implemented NAM in this environment.

Since NAM is an LV2 plugin, would it be possible to port the Tone3000-implemeted NAM to an x86_64 environment?

Or would this require changes to mod-host or mod-ui as well?

Thanks!

Do you mean implementing the Tone3000 connection with the MOD Desktop?

Sorry, I’m not a native English speaker, so I may not have explained myself very clearly.

What I mean is that I want to use the nam.lv2 included in the Starless version on MOD Desktop as well, or with mod-host and mod-ui.
I’m referring to the downloader shown in the video.

The Tone3000.lv2 plugin is probably a separate topic, right?

No no. It’s used in NAM.

Actually it was understandable, I just wanted to be sure to give you a better answer.

The MOD Desktop is a bit of a “try the MOD platform” thing. It’s still in a really early stage (I would say more of an Alpha stage than a Beta). So, although what you are asking its realistic and somehow planned, we can’t really give you a timeline because at this point the MOD Desktop development is having some development “hiccups”. Hopefully it will move soonish and most of the standard features from the MOD WebGUI will make it into it.

One of the biggest “hiccups” for its development is that there are quite some big backstage features that will need to move on in order for it to also move forward.
