Input saturation

Hi, all

I have a PRS SE Guitar which unless I turn the volume knob to 5 saturates the Dwarf (the led over the input jack turn red), even with the input gain set to -12dB and it gets really distorted, even with no effects at all

But if I send the guitar straight into the amp or on the audio interface of the PC I get a pretty clean sound.

I had to lower the pickups, far more than the factory recommended distance to have a working setup involving the Dwarf

Is this common? Is the dwarf input dynamic range so different than other commonly used (and low end) equipments? There may be some kind of impedance mismatch to deal with?

I can tell you that common that’s not.

do you go direct from your guitar into the MOD Dwarf?
Do you have some sort of boost on your signal chain?

guitar straight into mod and an empty pedalboard connecting input to output

hmmm
maybe try a Factory reset on the device. But just after a backup (in case you have something important already there)
