Focus-following knob

For folks who are using touch displays, it would be really nice to have the concept of a control that’s in focus, and to be able to map either a device knob or a midi CC to changing whatever’s in focus. This would be especially useful if you’re using a tablet, where tapping a control to focus on it is relatively easy, but precision value adjustment is more of a pain.

I’m picturing this as a separate UI mode, which I guess could eventually grow to have other tablet-friendly adaptations.

Good idea, but as to the Idea of 2 different GUI, I would rather have only one GUI, though more “mobile” oriented.

Yeah, that was largely an unrelated thought. The focus mode could be turned on and off pretty easily on the basis of whether or not a focus knob is mapped.
