Thank you @Elk_wrath … the first few weeks I was in denial “Hey I survived” then sadly went into a massive mental health decline, but now thankfully I’ve reached the point of coping … I’m a member of an online forum basschat and the lovely folks there got me up and grooving in a couple of weeks (All my gear was destroyed in the fire), and despite my NHS nurse salary I’m starting to get back on my feet financially (And was even able to stretch to a preloved Dwarf early this year). I am very grateful that the building insurance got me into a hotel for a month (My two weeks in emergency accommodation were frighting!) and since September I’ve lived in a nice flat (apartment) just over the road … paid for by the insurance.
Hopefully, this August my flat will be all bright and shiny!
