Connecting to MOD UI using Type A port

Is it possible to connect to MOD UI (Browser) on tablet using the type A USB port of the Dwarf or DUO ?

No, that port is host-type only

Thanks @falkTX.

How about connecting the Type B port to a android tablet? Will that work?

Only if the android tablet supports OnTheGo settings, aka usb-host on that port.

Thanks @dreamer

I’ll investigate that!

Anyone been successful in connecting an Android device to a MOD device using USB? I’ve tried with the MOD Duo X but been unsuccessful so far.

I have an OTG adapter which works with my Android (I can add a flash drive).
I’ve enabled USB tethering on the Android through developer settings, but the Android doesn’t seem to identify the MDX as a network device because the USB tethering option says “No usb device connected”.

Anyone willing to share how you managed to make it work if you’ve been successful?

I have a couple of Lenovo android tablets but neither support network over USB (even with an OTG adapter) so I use Bluetooth, which is slow but works.

I didn’t manage (nor tried) to do it. But have you experimented with changing the USB-B Mode on the device? Sometimes simply “refreshing” them may help the device recognize it.
Worth a try, I guess

Yeah, I’ve tried all kinds of different combinations of both these and other settings. Unfortunately no difference.

Likely Bluetooth is your best chance
It’s likely something on the way that the Android OS works.

Yeah probably… But I will try with a Wifi dongle first after reading about some slow bluetooth issues
