Since connection over wifi is difficult or not possible, has anyone managed to connect the mod dwarf via usb to a pc or mac and then access it from a wireless device such as an ipad or other laptop? Given my set up this would be a convenient workaround to enabling wireless connectivity directly on the dwarf. Benefits are being able to tweak the dwarf pedal from anywhere on the network without disturbing my set up.
I believe that @Julien managed to get something nicely working this way. Maybe he can give you some help.
Yes I’ve installed a usb to wifi mini router under my pedalboard. It use wifi direct connection. If you install it directly on your pedalboard be careful with noises it can generate.
It’s very simple to manage and just have to set it one time and then forgot it.
Ah nice, thanks for sharing. Do you connect directly to this instead of your regular wifi? I have a similar device so will try that.
The most elegant solution for me would be to plug the dwarf into the mac that it is sat next to, and somehow set up some forwarding that meant i could access via the existing home wifi to which the mac is connected. I just do not know how to do that.
It’s direct wifi connection. So I can connect every phone tablet or computer that have a wifi adapter.
You can choose the IP adress so I think the connection can be shared by a computer with some IP and share settings.
I didn’t tried that.
