The Neural Amp Modeler - NAM - has arrived!

Ok, not a huge surprise, as small endeavours must become great in their niche and not try to be the next Microsoft.

As 98% of my use is live, I care little for NAM at the moment and gladly see things happening on the AIDA front. I will have more time to experiment (and contintue with my content) in January. Looking forward to be experimenting more and currently there is no NAM stuff on my personal agenda.

I do not see any problems in running standard NAM profiles with my DuoX. I use only those from Amalgam and they work really nice.

That is interesting to hear. Is there something special about the Amalgam ones?

How much CPU is NAM taking when using them?

They just sound perfectly, they work with all guitars, no other NAM profiles sound as good as those from Amalgam. They also provide IR cabs and they also have perfect eq, works wit everything.

Hi Guys, If there is no way to improve the plugin in MOD Dwarf so it runs the standard NAM profiles, would it make sense to consider some sort of “compression” of those profiles? Something like the Valeton GP-5 has I believe where it lowers the quality of the model slightly when it gets uploaded to the device. That way we would at least be able to load any NAM profile from Tonehunt, even if with a bit of a quality loss…

would be very nice. Even the pocket master from sonicake does the job. it is a 60 bucks device!

There is a new improved NAM engine made by @MikeOliphant

We will roll it to the plugin store soon
