Yes, assuming you have the usb cable connected, the network interface appears at 192.168.51.1.
Since that is not working for you I’ll prepare a full reset image.

btw, do you have a linux system around? It will make things a lot simpler…
I’m on a mac. I could look at setting up a virtual machine if needed.
