The resampler in use for Audio File (zita-resampler) was updated to its latest version, which brings ARM-specific optimizations. This makes loading non-48kHz files faster.
The MIDI File player is updated along side it as they belong to the same plugin bundle, but no changes were made to it.
Fixes playback of certain audio files that fit perfectly into an internal buffer, leading to reading the whole file and playback skipping weirdly right after start. Happened with at least 32bit mono wav files.
Same as before, MIDI File player updated too but only because they come from the same package.
MOD Bass, Modern and Vintage Cabinets updated to 2.0-12
We have changed the convolution engine used by these plugins to one that is much more efficient, reducing CPU load considerably. Because of this the “high-fidelity” parameter is gone, as it is no longer necessary.
Please open a new topic on the forums if this update causes any issue for you.
We now expose the DC Blocker filter that runs at the end of the processing chain on AIDA-X as a switch, in case anyone needs to turn it off (not recommended unless you know what you are doing).
Also the Antialiasing parameter turns that filter fully off when at 0%.
Both changes are optional and will not change the sound on existing boards, but are useful for some of our internal testing.
forward audio ENG 212, faIR Modern Rock, Marsh 1960, MEGA California Recto updated to 2.0-10
Same as the MOD cabinets a few days ago, we have changed the convolution engine used by these plugins to one that is much more efficient, reducing CPU load considerably. Because of this the “high-fidelity” parameter is gone, as it is no longer necessary.
Improvements to model loading for having less clicks while doing so
Codebase was cleaned up a bit to more easily handle the commercial plugins based on it.
Also updated all other AIDA-X based commercial plugins to match the latest improvements.
