I figured it out! I had to run a factory reset, which worked - now I’m on the latest software!
To be clear for anyone else trying to retrace my steps:
- I followed the factory reset instructions, which mean reflashing it using the listed factory reset image (right now, that’s
v1.13.4) - Note that it took maybe 7 minutes with red LEDs on after I safely removed / unplugged the USB - longer than I expected, but with patience it eventually rebooted into the updated software!
- Then, I followed the normal upgrade process to get to
v1.13.5(the latest as of now)
