I am reviving this topic.
i would like to set looperlative in a “rec” mode where i am thinking to use “host sync” rather than “self sync”
Basically i want the loop to sync with the internal dwarf tempo to make sure the recorded audio on the dwarf reflects the tempo set and can be imported later in any DAW/sequencer.
Would this work as i expect?
Yes, recording with host sync will sync with the internal Dwarf clock.
thanks for confirming, I will have a play with it
With my use of the looper, it’s not the second loop but the first which becomes unintuitive when it adds another whole bar even when I’m ending the loop right on the beat (or milliseconds after).
The easiest solution other loopers use is to allow you to set a bar range. If you are synced to midi, then you should be able to say “give me 4 bars”, and then you only need to click a button to start recording - then perform knowing that you won’t have to count bars in your head, or even click a second button to end the loop. Old looping delays had this option. Tape loops were based on this. When you are syncing to anything and not freestyling, it’s a great option.
